Anymore

Nothing is real anymore: foolish lines 

and poses, 
roles played and replayed on TV 
fake news exposed.

What is told these days isn’t 
facts but replaced by rumor 
truth doctored by lies and hearsay 
no truth, just gossip. 

Concern overtaken by selfies 
public health by suits 
gunstocks the new property of law. 
Don’t ask just shoot. 

Virtue replaced by sleaze 
squeeze, then let go
the White House presenting threats first,
then pleas.
 
Sex and money the only measures 
and infernal plots
we are living no longer what is
only frantically what is not.

Can America ever recover: 
from whore to lover
considering the money, 
she, of course, cannot. 

Not a chance for life to continue 
as heat increases,
converting earth to a Hell
in which all life ceases.
