Listen to How Life Flows:

how it drips, how it drops,
how it gurgles;

how it bubbles as it flows
and sometimes
burbles.

how it tears and tears,
digs ditches;
how it rips and stitches;

how it undercuts;
how it glides
creating slicks and even slides.

How at times it clutches.

How sometimes it hollows out trenches,
leaving high and dry
what weren’t,
but are now become benches.

How it even moans as it tries
and if fails, tries again;
tries again, tries again;

initially is entertaining,
then becomes a bore,
once again
is simply day to day.

All at once it stops:
all stops pulled out.
Not a drip. Not a drop.
No dribbles.
