Coming Home
I sense I am coming home,
all battles done,
to that trust of a child where I started;
from sickness, weariness and death
to a joy that comes
like a tidal wave to uplift me.
No longer is certainty a concern.
I’m at ease with doubt.
Serenity, like a blanket, surrounds.
I want my soul to fly free,
trust that unknown
that has become life’s breath to me.
