Birds
Birds populate the earth.
Each day they fly
and, for the most part, below the radar.
Every eye
and hand seems against them.
Some birds can't fly,
some swim in the ocean like fish,
and some can run,
almost as fast as a horse.
The smallest, as fragile as snowflakes,
don’t seem to waver;
seem to be in their delicate selves
both means and end.
Birds do not like us require saviors.
