The Need to Create

Sex and art are, indeed, a re-creation,
so partake in God’s creativity.
In our own creations,
see and hear the actions of God.

The text is desire to be one
with a wife, daughter or son
and, indeed, the whole of creation;

not to be alone,
but to act in company with God; 
to create a world
that is beautiful, respectful, and kind;

fulfilling the obligation to be one
in ourselves, with each other and a world
in which peace is more than a word;

and so share creation,
add to the glory of God our self-expression
by which we seek in gladness
to become One.
