Destinations

Accepting whatever happens does not imply
I believe in predestination.

For example, I
had chosen today to go swimming,
but, then, it rained;

my daughter came over for comfort
and the kitchen drain
that collects the garbage from the sink
got plugged.

I don't control what happens to sinks,
what the weather does,
not even my daughter's emotions.
It's enough to swear,
shrug my shoulders, save what’s left of the day.

What is going to, happens.
