Color

Color is not an absolute
and reactions slide
from one extreme to the other.

While light can be blindingly bright,
other times be dim,
sunlight and moonlight are public.

Every living person is lighted
whether day or night,
black, white, red, brown or yellow.

Moon at night and sun by day
drive the size of tides,
automatically govern the seasons.

No forms to fill out, no fees,
no required reasons:
light graciously falls where it may.

Who may, therefore, say
light belongs to the greedy few?
All are blessed, plain as day, by the light.
