Discomfort

Nothing about it is right:
tempo or song.
The loudspeaker’s out of kilter.

Can we get some light?

Even the timing is wrong.
Sound may be in need of a filter;

the cord’s too long
or, in some cases, not long enough.

Maybe we should sit and do nothing,
find a closet, hide,
keep facts to ourselves out of sight;

or, perhaps, push on.
