Dying isn't Easy

Nor is life, so much to deal with,
things to do…and some to be redone.
Death is dissimilar to them:
a one-time shot.

Instead of sad, be glad!
It’s something new
about which we all have wondered.
Reprieve for some

who see life as a bundle of pain,
experienced and also observed,
no place to turn
for health or even a let up.

Well, kiss all that bye-bye.
Death’s good at that.
Nothing to do, but to say: Goodbye.

Or maybe, it’s just “Hello.”
A little scary, perhaps,
unknown,
but, who knows? It might be fun.

In any case, it will eventually be done
what so long’s been feared
by so many…
and to which all of us succumb.
