Robin Calendar
In April pull worms from grass;
in May lay eggs.
In June steal cherries from trees;
in July fledge chicks.
In November head south for winter;
In March turn north.
This is the calendar of robins
displayed in books.
But robins now winter over
sing songs in snow,
add white decorations to holly;
legs thin as sticks,
walk ice that once was a puddle,
huddle up for Spring.
