Strange Attractor
The strangest attractor is life,
unpredictable and also vital;
variable in form.
So also death:
for many an extravagant factor,
to give up and die;
speak truth or lie,
or be yourself, explicit.
No life form in itself is illicit,
but may not conform
to where it’s found, whether kept or free,
and, therefore, is open to suggestion.
It might seem to be a miracle,
most of all surprise
that presents itself as salvation,
a specific chance that seems (and is thought)
to be able to set them free
but is also worthy of suspicion.
And that’s just the way it goes.
Some win; some don’t.
And maybe you’re somebody lucky,
but you never know.
