Flea Logic

A flea that lives life on a bird
is in continual transit,
but is never lost,
since it always is settled in place.
For a flea,
it's the place that moves.

Where the host goes is not up to him
and is not important:
no fee is paid,
or anything needed for trade,
but having a warm place to hide.

The question is:
Where does a flea go when at whim
his bird up and suddenly dies
and the blood on which he had dined
turns bitterly rancid?

There is a moral in this:
you may choose with care where you live.
It need not be fancy.
Indeed, any choice is chancy.
But choose for yourself
when to leave.

It is best, when your lodging gets antsy.
